At Marcus and Marcus, Inc., we believe in a flat-rate pricing for most of our services. We believe this is the most cost effective way for the client and us as well. When you use our services, you can get a ball-park figure of what your costs might be. Here are some of most used services and the flat rate fees for each:
Report of Investigation $500.00
The "Report of Investigation" is the report that explains in detail all the findings that lead me to the conclusion of your case. It is comprehensive, complete, and accurate.
Travel Time $75.00 Per Hour
This cost includes gas, vehicle wear and tear, and actual driving time behind the wheel to and from your accident location.
Depositions $150.00 Per Hour w/2 Hour Minimum
Anything over this time will be billed to the customer at $150.00 per hour after that. My time starts when I leave home to your location.
Retainer Fee $500.00
This is the start up fee to take your case. You can go to our home page and pay the fee online. Just click on the "paypal" symbol and use MarcusandMarcus@aol.com as the e-mail address to remit payment.
Court Time $200.00 Per Hour w/3 Hour Minimum
This fee starts when I leave home and travel to your court destination. Anything over the 3 hour minimum will be billed to the client.
Photo Enhancement $300.00 (Up to 3 Pictures)
These are enhanced 8"x10" high gloss photo's highlighting evidence from your case. Additional photos are available at the client's request for $75.00 per photo.
Scale Diagrams $2500.00
A scale diagram is a diagram that can be used to measure precise distances. For example, if you wanted to know the exact distance from the point of impact to the intersection, you could use a ruler to measure the distance. When you take the distance and multiply it by the scale it gives you a distance in feet.
Situation Map $1500.00
A situation map is similar to a scale diagram, except it is not exact. The intersection will look the same as a scale drawing without the exact measurements.
Overnite Travel
Hotel Fees plus 8 hours of travel time per day. This equals to $600.00 per day plus hotel cost.
Complete Package Duplication $400.00
This includes a complete reproduction of the entire package.
Skid Estimates $500.00 Per Surface plus $200 for written speed report
If a vehicle slides over more than one surface(ex. grass and pavement) it requires additional calculations to get a minimum speed.
Photo Reproduction $1.50 per Picture
This covers the cost to reproduce standard pictures. Photo enhanced pictures are billed at the standard rate of $300.00 for up to 3 pictures.
All other Situations
To do flips falls, and vaults, crush, conservation of linear momentum, time/distance calculations, and yaw mark calculations depends on the situation. Estimates can be given if the elements are there, but these costs will be calculated on a case by case basis.
Most basic cases are resolved between $2500-$4500 per case. Your case could be more or less depending on your needs. This includes a situation map, photo enhancement with up to three pictures, standard prints of the accident scene, standard prints of both cars, skid estimates for one surface, and a complete report of investigation. This is the most comprehensive package for the price.
