On Scene Traffic Accident Investigation Level One:
This is the foundation of accident investigation. It teaches the fundamentals of taking measurements from roadways and cars. It also teaches how to collect and look for evidence on the scene.
On Scene Traffic Accident Investigation Level Two:
This level of accident investigation teaches how to compute skid mark evidence. It also teaches how to compute speeds for vehicles that slide over different surfaces, and how to deal with brake failure for one or more wheels.
Traffic Accident Reconstruction Level One:
This level of accident reconstruction teaches how to use critical speed scuffmarks to make speed estimates. It shows how to take yaw marks left from a vehicle and use certain methods to compute and average the speed a vehicle traveled during the yaw.
Traffic Accident Reconstruction Level Two:
This level of accident reconstruction teaches how to estimate speeds from vehicles that flip, fall, or vault.
Traffic Accident Reconstruction Level Three:
This level of accident reconstruction teaches how to determine vehicle impact speeds using the conservation of linier momentum. When performed properly, it yields accurate minimum impact speeds. If other evidence is present, it can give minimum initial speeds.
Traffic Accident Reconstruction Level Four:
Traffic accident reconstruction deals with time/distance issues. Once other information is gathered, it teaches how to figure out, for example, how long it would take a vehicle to cross an intersection. Another example would be how much time did a driver have to see a person crossing the street.
Traffic Accident Reconstruction Level Five:
Traffic accident reconstruction level five deals with taking crush measurements and converting them into speed.
This is done by taking the crash test data provided by the government to determine vehicles crash worthiness
and adjusting it to determine a minimum speed.
Railroad Grade Collision Investigation
Railroad grade collision investigation teaches the proper way to investigate these unique types of collisions.
Estimating Speed Loss From Spin Marks
This class teaches how to estimate speed from vehicles that spin out of control.
