Thank you for your interest. In today’s society accidents are bound to happen. When they do, questions arise from the accident. One of the most important is determining liability for the accident. Until that question is answered, compensation for the pain and suffering for the parties involved can be delayed. This can cause repossession and loss of homes. In order to bring closure to most of these situations, an accident reconstruction is needed to find out who is liable for the accident.

My name is Darrin K. Marcus, and I can provide an accurate and reliable reconstruction of an accident at an affordable price. By using state of the art measuring equipment and advanced skills taught through the Georgia Police Academy, I can answer the questions that may prevent payment to your clients.

First, let me tell you a little about myself. I am currently employed by a police agency as a full time Traffic Fatality Investigator. I investigate all accidents with serious injury, all police car accidents, and of course fatal accidents. I started with the department on March 10, 1997. I gained a love for traffic during my training phases when I got a chance to ride with a member of our DUI Task Force. It didn’t take me long to realize that traffic is where I wanted to be. After about 9 months on the road I got a chance to work full time on the task force. I was selected from a list of candidates to fill a vacant position on the squad. During my time on the squad I made well over 600 arrests and worked hundreds of accidents involving DUI drivers. When I decided to start my family, I left the task force and did regular traffic answering wreck calls all over the city. I averaged between 10-15 wrecks a day. That averages out to be about 1800-2700 wrecks a year. The more wrecks that I worked the more I wanted to learn about what caused them to happen. I took a break from traffic for a while and worked on our S.W.A.T. team. I never lost my interest in investigating accidents. I had an opportunity to return to the DUI task force and I did. A short time after returning I got a chance to become one of the full time reconstructionist. I have been in this position since January of 2003.The other Marcus is my wife Tanya, and she is the CFO who manages our accounts and makes sure everything is done right..

My training includes on scene accident investigation levels one and two, and all five levels of traffic accident reconstruction. I have also completed Railroad Collision Investigation and Estimating Vehicle Speed From Spin Marks. I am a member of the International Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialist www.iaars.org. I am a P.O.S.T. Certified Senior Instructor, General Instructor, RADAR Instructor, LASER Instructor, DUI Instructor, Field Sobriety Instructor, Driving Instructor, OC Spray Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Expandable Metal Baton Instructor, and a Firearms Instructor. I teach each of these subjects on a regular basis at the Georgia Police Academy's and at the State’s Regional Academy. I also teach accident investigation to both new and veteran officers. I head up our Traffic Fatality Investigations Unit, and I am consulted on any changes made in that unit. I am a part of the Claims Committee for the city deciding whether or not accident claims are paid or denied based on the facts of each case. I have several awards and commodations for my work on the department. I love policing and bringing justice to those who need it. If you choose me to perform a reconstruction of an accident, you can be assured that a complete, accurate, and nonbiased opinion of your case will be given. I will not make any claims that I cannot prove on paper and testify to in court. Money will not make me forsake what I believe in, and that is the truth.

I also offer something that most Reconstructionist don't offer. I can give expert testimony in vehicle braking and suspension systems. As a service manager for two large automotive companies, I received my national ASE certification in both areas. Service professionals all over the United States hold the “ASE” certification. ASE stands for Automotive Service Excellence. Any automotive shop that bears this symbol means there is a service professional inside working. I live and stand on my principals of finding the truth. If we ever get the chance to work together, I think you will notice the difference. You can contact us at 478-461-4309 . If I can ever be of assistance to you, don’t hesitate to call me.
